In the last text I wrote about the importance of putting on the armor of God to prepare us for battle, whether it occurs within ourselves, when it is against our flesh, or when the enemy uses someone to get at us.
We pray asking and giving thanks for so many things and sometimes we forget to put on the only armor that not only protects our physical, but also our mind and heart. Remember, your mind is meant to be a place of peace, as well as your heart, and if it hasn’t been, maybe it’s time to do a self-evaluation and understand why this has been happening.
You are a child of God and called to live a life of abundance, so let’s pray together against the snares of the enemy, against the lies he tells us, for self-control and wisdom.
I leave here a passage especially for you today:
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Ephesians 6:13-18
Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I will leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.
Prayer
Beloved God, I thank you for your protection even when I am inattentive to what is happening in the spiritual world. Thank you for always protecting me and for your infinite love. I come to you today to pray because I know that I am continually in a battle against the snares of the enemy, against the lies told by him, and I need your wisdom to overcome them.
Father, first I ask that you clothe me with your armor, so that I will be prepared to resist the evil day. I also pray for wisdom and discernment so that I won’t fall into temptations. Please remove from me those who have nothing to add to my life, and cover me with your protection against all envy, slander, covetousness, injustice, evil, and witchcraft.
I also ask that you cleanse my mind and heart of the lies that I have allowed to enter them. May your truth destroy any mental fortress that has been doing me harm. Blind me from all anxiety, nervousness, anger, depression, anguish and fear. May your peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding, reign in my life. Forgive me if I am the reason for the battle in someone’s life, and help me to walk according to your will.
My God, yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!
