Prayer: I will not procrastinate

Prayer: I will not procrastinate

In the last few texts we talked about procrastinating, what the behavior of a procrastinator is, what conduct God expects from his servants, and how to overcome this problem that seems to harm so many these days. Today to complement the study, I want to pray for you and for me, and for everyone who has ever faced this difficulty, after all, we all have our days.

So come with me and prostrate yourself before the Father, asking for His help and recognizing that our strength comes from Him! I leave here a passage especially for you today:

Everything has its appointed time, and there is a time for every purpose under heaven. There is a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to throw down, and a time to build; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to scatter stones, and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, and a time to withdraw from embracing; A time to seek, and a time to lose; A time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to tear, and a time to sew; A time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

For we have heard that some among you walk disorderly, not working, but doing vain things. But these we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that, working quietly, they eat their own bread.

2 Thessalonians 3:11,12

Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Prayer

Beloved God, thank you for being so merciful to me, thank you for taking care of me, for giving your son so that I might have eternal life. My Lord, I am grateful for your love, for your kindness, for your faithfulness, for all that you have given me. I also ask for your help not to be a procrastinator, sometimes it seems so easy to fall into the temptation of procrastinating, we put obstacles, absurd goals, or we simply think we are worthy of a little too much rest that ends up causing a bad feeling up front.

Help me Father, to know the right time for each thing, lead me in your way, that everything I do, I do with the dedication I would do for You. I want to be a more regular person with my schedules and that I don’t leave anything for later, but that I do each thing in its own time. Take out of my life everything that has been holding me back from doing what I need to do.

I pray that my attention will not be easily distracted, that I will focus on what I need to complete and come to do everything according to your will, but that at the right time I will also know how to rest to renew my strength for your work. My God, yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!

Prayer of a mere servant of God

God bless you!
