Prayer: Humility before the Father!

Prayer: Humility before the Father!

Today I want to pray for a delicate subject in a world where we are encouraged to think only about ourselves, which is humility. So many times we don’t inflate our ego not only before people, but especially before God who is our father, we are proud, we consider ourselves as the owners of reason, and we act as we please considering what is best for us.

The lack of humility also leads us to rebellion that keeps us away from God, so today we will pray for humility before the father and with people. I leave here a passage especially for you today:

Be completely humble and docile, and be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Ephesians 4:2

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Prayer

Beloved God, I thank you for your goodness, love and mercy. For taking care of me in every detail, even though I sin, make mistakes, and fail you and people so much. Father, today I want to recognize before You my faults, I recognize that I fail to listen, to love, to forgive the way I should.

I know that my attitudes have already hurt You and this saddens me because I want to show gratitude to You, I want to serve You in the best way possible, trying to do what pleases You. I also want to have an attitude of humility towards people, recognizing my mistakes and failures with them so that I won’t act this way anymore, and I ask the Holy Spirit’s help in this.

I also ask that He give me the humility to ask forgiveness from those I need, that there may be wisdom in the words I speak. I pray that my heart will be cleansed of all pride, anger, bad ambition or resentment. Lord, please take all the weight off my speech, and may my lips speak words that edify.

I also thank you that I can count on you at all times. My God, Yours is the power, the glory and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!

Prayer of a mere servant of God

God bless you!
