Prayer: Discouragement? Never!

Prayer: Discouragement? Never!

How many times we feel discouraged, with a feeling that we can’t describe, we just feel and want to get rid of this “weirdness”. Anyway, I believe that everybody sometimes feels this way.

With this, we end up not having the will to do what we need, we stop in time, we become stagnant. This discouragement can be momentary or not, sometimes situations end up causing it, a discussion, news we didn’t expect and so many other things.

Thinking about it, today we will pray for God’s help to free us from this evil. I also want to leave here 3 verses to get out of discouragement:

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33 (NIV)

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7 (NIV)

But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way to communicate with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way.

Prayer

Dear God, I want to thank you because I know you hear my prayers. I thank you for always being by my side, taking care of me in small and big things. You are the perfect Father, the one who has never failed and will never fail. Thank you Lord, for all your love and for today, in a day when discouragement knocks the door, I can speak directly to you.

Father, today I am not feeling well, I am discouraged and I don’t want to feel that way. When I get discouraged everything seems more difficult to be realized and this hinders my whole day. I don’t feel like solving what I need, but today I want my day to be different, to be full of spirit and joy. So, I ask, help me to have cheerfulness in abundance.

Pour out your joy on me and on the people who are dear to me, free me from what has kept me from enjoying Your grace. I also ask forgiveness if I have caused myself this harm. Lord, take care of my mind and heart, so that the enemy cannot cast any evil against my life.

It is in Jesus’ name that I pray and ask that my words come like a sweet perfume to the Lord!

Prayer of a mere servant of God

God bless you!
