Prayer: Aligning Paths

Prayer: Aligning Paths

In the last text, I spoke to you about walking. We mus know that the path and steps will often seem messy, but we must follow with a focus on God’s promises and directions.

I want to invite you to pray today for the perfect path we find in God. Also for obedience and faith to take each step towards what the Father has for us.

You don’t need to pray exactly as I’m going to say here. I know that everyone has their way of talking to the Father, and it is important that we individually seek intimacy with Him. Therefore, feel comfortable talking to the Lord in your own way. But if you want, I will be happy to accompany you in this prayer.

Prayer

“Lord, first, I want to thank You. For loving me and guiding me, even though I don’t deserve to follow in Your footsteps. Thank You for speaking to me, even though I’m not worthy of hearing Your voice. Make me sensitive to what You have to speak to me, that I can feel You in every breath always.

I ask you for firmness to walk with you. My eyes are limited, and Your ways are often abstract to me, but I want to follow Your vision.

I don’t need to understand, but to trust. I know that I can surrender my ways to You and I want to pour everything at Your feet. Your vision goes far beyond mine, and although I don’t understand every step You tell me to take now, I trust each one is part of Your sovereign plan.

Give me a courageous heart to follow Your word. Even when the road seems steep and unknown or even if the step is taken in the dark, may the light of Your presence be my compass. Guide me, Lord, in moments of uncertainty.

Father, I know that faith is the certainty of things that I cannot see. And I ask that You strengthen my faith so that I may have more certainty in Your word and direction. The Lord is my safety and strength. When contrary winds blow, I want to stand firm on the unshakable rock that is Your promise.

May I have the discernment to understand that, many times, I will not understand the complete picture, but only a small part of the work that the Lord is carrying out, but that up front, I will be able to fully contemplate it. Give me patience in the process, to wait with tranquility and hope for the unfolding of Your perfect plan.

I want to find the peace that surpasses all understanding at all times, knowing that you are with me every step of the way. May I remain faithful to Your calling, even when the journey seems difficult.

May, as I walk with You, I learn to trust more, love more and adore more, and that in the end, I may contemplate Your sovereignty with admiration and gratitude.

In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
