Prayer: a well-resolved parenthood

Prayer: a well-resolved parenthood

When we are born, God who is our true Father, grants our parents here on earth the blessing and grace to care for that human being who still has so much to learn. However, these parents do not always fulfill the role given to them in the best way, for they are human beings and are bound to fail.

There are parents who do their best to take care of their children and others who choose not to play this very important role. I don’t know what your reality is or how your parents were to you, but today I want to tell you that your True Father will never abandon you.

He loved you even before you were in your mother’s womb, He raised you and knows you better than anyone else, He listened to all your nights of crying and will stand by you no matter what. I know that it is not easy to have an absent father, I also know the marks that this leaves and the time that these wounds take to heal, but this does not define who you are, because your true identity is in the Father who will never leave you.

Today I want to pray with you for a well-resolved parenthood and tell you that you are not alone. I leave here a passage especially for you today:

Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will take care of me.

Psalms 27:10

Remember that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I’m going to leave it here, because each one of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to follow me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak it in your own way.

Prayer

Beloved God, I am grateful for your love and because I know that you are a perfect Father, the One who first loved me and continues to love me so much. Thank you for being by my side even in the worst of times and for taking care of me in every detail. Sometimes I feel alone, but I know that You are by my side and I don’t want to feel that way anymore.

Father, there are wounds in my heart that need to be healed regarding my fatherhood, wounds that already seem so old, but that remain here. You know, sometimes I cry and feel bad remembering some events, I don’t want to carry hurts anymore, so today I release forgiveness, I want to forgive and I ask for your help to do that.

I know I am not able to do this without your grace, so help me please! I pray that all pride will be set aside, treat my heart and the hearts of those who need to be treated. That there will be dialogue with my family and that I will not make the same mistakes that my parents made.

May my parenting be more resolved in You every day. My God, Yours is the power, the glory, and the honor forever. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!

Prayer of a mere servant of God

God bless you!
