Overcoming, when everything says no!

Overcoming, when everything says no!

How many things do we no longer overcome in our lives? Living is overcoming daily. Overcoming ourselves, the opposite situations and the challenges of everyday life. Fortunately, when we serve a living God, we no longer need to do this alone, because there is a Father who watches over us.

A Father who sent his son to save us and left the Holy Spirit as the guarantee of our salvation. That is why you and I are already winners by accepting Jesus Christ as our only savior, in Him we have the certainty of victory, even if things are not as we wanted.

Jesus is the way

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57

As I said, we do not need to overcome anything alone, as children of God we receive help directly from our father. It is written in John 14:6, that Jesus is the way to truth and life. He is not only by our side, but he is the very way to go to the Father. So the first thing we need to remember is that walking with Jesus is the first step to overcoming all that we need.

In Hebrews 13:21-20, it is written that through Christ’s sacrifice we are perfected in every good work, so that the will of the Lord may be fulfilled, in this way He works in us. This shows that it is not by our strength that we overcome all that is necessary, but because we are perfected through the sacrifice of our redeemer.

The last word comes from God!

To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.

Proverbs 16:1

Many times we face situations where nothing seems to work, everything is stopped, we try and try, but that fight seems to have no end. This happens because God has his time to act and more than that, we may be fighting with our own strength, which as I have already said, is not necessary, because we are children.

I imagine you have already been through some situation where you thought you were no longer good, everything was lost, it might have been something personal with yourself, or something that didn’t depend on you. And then, when you no longer expected anything, an answer came, you received a new breath and once again God was sovereign.

We must remember that our Father works at the right time and that the Lord goes before us, he is with us, does not leave us, nor forsakes us, as it is written in Deuteronomy 31:8.

Conclusion

Finally, I would like this message to remember two things, the first is that in Jesus we find overcoming, he takes our burdens and the second and last is that God works at the exact time and is already acting in everything he needs.

God bless you!
