Have we recognized God’s blessings in our lives? Have we been grateful for the things we received undeservedly?
In these last days I have been thinking a lot about gratitude and I started to analyze my ingratitude habits, in my relationship with God! I would like to talk to you about it!
Come on?
Undeserved life
No. I don’t want to talk only about the goods and passing things that we receive from the Lord! I want to talk about everything, everything! I imagine that the main thing we receive from the Lord is life.
I think about it a lot and the more I think about it, the more I realize that God really didn’t need any of us! His own glory is enough for Him. However, in love, He decided to create the heavens and the Earth and to place His creatures to command, care for and manage His own creation.
In fact, not only has he given us the privilege of taking care of His creation, but the sovereign and sublime God has decided to share with us. It has allowed us the honor of being reached for its power, love, kindness and purity. He loved us so much that he was divided when he decided to give up his Son to come into the world and die for us.
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Ephesians 2: 4-9
Immersed Grace
“Whenever God acts kindly towards his creatures, he does it out of grace. God exercises his grace in creating and sustaining this world, and especially in the plan of Salvation. Our Salvation is a work entirely of the grace of God. Only by the grace of God are we saved.
Grace is an act of God’s kindness to his creatures who do not deserve his favor. Grace is an unmerited favor towards us. When we deserve nothing from God, and by his mercy he does us a favor, so God exercises an act of grace. God always acts graciously with us because we deserve nothing from him.
Merit is when a person receives something he deserves. His works make them worthy to receive something that is due to him. When a person works, his salary is his merit. The worker has the right to receive his salary and the employer has the duty to pay. If the salary is not paid, injustice is done. In relation to God, do we have any merit? God have any obligation to us sco?
The biblical answer is that we have no merit before God. Our works are tainted by sin, so that even our best deeds do not guarantee us any good reward before God. Our picture before God is of death in crimes and sins (Eph. 2.1 – 9). The only thing we deserve from God is condemnation for our sins. When God punishes us for our sins, he is exercising justice. “- Study 7.11: God’s Grace and human merit.

So be grateful!
From the moment we understand and understand that we are not worthy of the grace and love of Jesus, we begin to thank you for all your kindness, love and compassion for our lives, this must happen simply because we understand that what we deserved is nothing but condemnation and death.
When we receive a gift on our birthdays or someone gives us surprise gift, what do we do? Thank you, right? This is exactly how it should happen in our relationship with God. Nothing is our merit, everything from Him. So, thank you for receiving something you didn’t deserve.

In addition to the fact that we did not deserve all that the Lord gave us, and for that we must give thanks to Him, we must give thanks because His Word so it teaches and commands us.
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe,”
