To what extent have we persevered in our life with God? When temptations come, do we give up or prevail? Do we fight or just give up and surrender to sin?
If, just like me, you have been having a hard time staying, fighting and resisting temptations, I would like to talk to you about it. It is a big mistake that we have made and this needs to be changed urgently!

We can not give up!
This is one of the phrases that I say the most to those around me. But have I applied it to my life? Most of the time, unfortunately, I have failed! Several times I give up the fight and surrender to temptation! But I want to change that, because I know that this is not the life the Lord has for me!
I’ve been trying to learn from my mistakes and turn them into successes. It is not easy at all, because at first glance, sin seems to be more pleasurable. However, the pleasure is not lasting and the bitterness of sin comes and takes over the heart. And that is exactly where the love of God and the action of the Holy Spirit come in.
As long as sin is not bitter, Christ will not be sweet. I heard that phrase recently and it makes perfect sense: as long as we do not repent of our sins and see how wrong it is to live far from the will of God, we will never have the feeling of complete forgiveness, we will never truly understand Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, for you and me!
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12: 2
Christ lifts us and orders change!
“Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”“
John 8: 10-11
For me, this passage is just beautiful, because Christ shows that he does not condemn us, but He demands change! The Grace of Christ must constrain us to the point of changing direction and thinking about what Christ would do if he were in our place at the time of temptation!
Perseverance is one of the most important points of our life with God! Not only in saying no to sin, but also in maintaining a daily and intimate relationship with God! Thus, having a deep relationship with God, saying no to sin becomes a consequence.
My prayer will be that not only me, but all of us can remain in Christ and do the right thing, His will!
