Do you thank or murmur?

Do you thank or murmur?

These days I was thinking that we seldom sadden or identify murmuring as a sin, we forget that murmuring is ungrateful and we usually do it without realizing it. Murmuring is the same as slandering, mumbling, speaking in a low voice, speaking ill of someone or something. So I ask how many times did you mumble today?

We complain about so many things that we don’t even notice, because the more we complain, the more we will complain, but also the more we thank, the more we will be grateful. In 1 Thessalonians it is written that we should always be grateful, because that is what God wants from those who are united to Christ.

We may not realize it, but murmuring takes us away from God, because when we murmur we cannot see everything he has done in our lives. Our Lord is faithful to us and does not rejoice in ingratitude, being grateful is an act of worship and that shows confidence in God.

Thinking about it, today we will pray thanking our Lord for everything he did and asking for help and forgiveness for the murmurings. I also want to leave here 3 lines about waiting:

Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

Psalm 100:4

All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

James 3: 7,8

Remembering that you do not need to repeat the prayer exactly as I am going to leave it here, as each of us has a specific way of communicating with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way.

Prayer

Dear God, I want to thank you for your faithfulness, for who you are, for your infinite love and kindness. I thank you because I know that everything happens at the right time and according to your will. I am grateful for your grace and mercy, although I fail the Lord to be by my side at all times. I am also grateful for everything I have, for my home, family, friendships, food and clothes, so I consecrate everything I have to You.

I know I failed, I often complain and even murmur without realizing it, it saddens me because I know it saddens you too, so forgive me. I don’t want to whisper anymore and ask for your help, so I can change my attitude. I rebuke and apologize for the ingratitude I profess with my lips. I pray that I will speak only words that please You, my beloved Father.

God, I love you so much and I want to see every miracle of yours in my life, praising the Lord at all times, for only you are worthy of all praise, honor and glory. Today I also thank you for everything you are still going to do, I know that you are faithful and like my Father, you have the best for me. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray and ask that my words come as a sweet perfume to the Lord!
