Are you easy to talk about the gospel? In talking about the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior? Many times we think that we can be invasive or bother the other, but this is a mistaken thought on our part. That is because knowing Jesus is a privilege, and when we stop talking about His love we are being negligent in spreading salvation.
Some time ago I met a girl who only heard about Jesus and his beautiful sacrifice of love, when she was 15 years old, even though she lived in Brazil, a mostly Christian country. Fortunately, this girl, who is now over 20 years old, had time to have a real encounter with Jesus and today has been used a lot to reach other lives.
With this, I keep thinking, how many times have I stopped talking about salvation? how many lives could have been reached? Knowing Jesus is something wonderful and we who already know him have the mission to be messengers of the best news anyone can receive, the news of salvation. I know it can be challenging, but that is why we must prepare ourselves in prayer and reading the word.
Well, thinking about it today I want to pray with you that next year we will be good messengers of good news. Remembering that you don’t have to repeat the prayer exactly as I will leave it here, because each of us has a specific way to communicate with the Lord. But if you want to accompany me, it will be a pleasure, feel free to speak your way.
Prayer
Dear God, how grateful I am because the Lord gave His only son to die for me. I thank you for the great act of love that was Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, for having free access to you today and no longer being a slave to sin, but a beloved daughter, I thank you for your infinite goodness to humanity, because even though we are so imperfect, yes the Lord is faithful and merciful.
Father, I know that many times I had trouble speaking of your love and spreading the good news of salvation, so first of all I ask forgiveness for the shame that prevented me, for the lack of daring and for the times that my faith was not as great as it should have been. I want to change, I want to spread your message, to be used by you in your work.
Lord, I humbly ask You to help me better in my failures, so that I can be used by You. I love You so much, and I want other people to have the privilege of knowing You and walking with Jesus, because I do not know who I would be without You. Each day I spent away from You was painful, because my joy is to be with You and adore You.
Therefore, my God, I pray to the Lord and I ask You to help me to be a good messenger of salvation, and that my life and testimony may be to honor You, so that more people may be reached and live a new history by Your side. It is in the name of Jesus that I pray, give thanks and ask that my words may reach the Lord like a sweet perfume!
