5 tips for your mental health

5 Tips for your mental health!

This text is for you who are quarantined and thinking about what to do with your free time. Come with us and we will give you some tips to preserve your mental health!

Much has been said about the coronavirus. How to prevent, how to relate to people, the dos and don’ts. But we are human beings and we have our needs, so we need to talk about yours, mine and our mental health in this quarantine period!

The current Society

We are used to affection in our daily lives, that is because we spend the whole day with friends and family. As a result, we get used to warm hugs and greetings every day. However, now we are at a critical moment in our society and we need to give up our customs and desires for a greater good.

But it is very difficult being away from everyone and being stuck inside the house! What should I do? Knowing this, we at the Bible Offline have separated some tips on what to do with your free time and how to spend this difficult time with peace and tranquility! Get along!

1 – Do different things

Learn new things! Do you know that guitar forgotten in the corner of your room? Learn to play it, discover new things! Our God created the heavens and the earth, is there any greater creativity than that? So if we are made in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1: 26-28), it means that there is creativity within us! Invent something, start a different hobby. Innovate!

2 – Enjoy your family

With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we ended up staying in our homes for a short time and forgot to enjoy the presence of those who knows us best: our family! Have quality time with your loved ones, enjoy their presence. Have a service at your home, watch a movie, talk, read the Bible with them and enjoy every moment.

If you have a disagreement with a family member, reconcile with them. In Matthew 5: 23-24 Jesus tells us that if someone has something against us, we must put aside what we are doing and reconcile with that person. Strengthen your family ties and enjoy their presence.

3 – Study

“Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;

teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.”

Proverbs 9:9

Whether you are a student or not, study! We need to be in constant learning and improving our brain activity more and more! Read books, study more about your field or study different things! Learn what you always wanted to learn! There are several online courses available for free for you to take! Enjoy and develop your intellect!

4 – Rest

We often complain about being tired and wanting to rest! So, take the time to rest and recharge your energy.

Pay attention to the news and the media, but don’t stay tuned all the time, it will take up a lot of space in your mind and will make you more worried and anxious! Give your phone time to rest too! Hang up a little every day and rest your mind! Enjoy this time that God gave you!

5- Develop your relationship with God

We no longer have the excuse of time for us not to do our daily devotional! Even if you continue to study or work from home, you no longer need to go to places and get around. This means that you have won at least 1 more hour in your day! Take advantage of this time and connect with God!

Develop your prayer! Spend time in the secret place and learn more about God’s character, learn more about who He is, about His power! Find your personality in Him and find out who you are in Him!

In my opinion, the best time to do a daily devotional is in the morning, when we wake up! When we do the devotional moment in the morning, our whole day is guided by what we consume in the morning. Therefore, nothing better than the first content consumed in your day be the Word of God. May God be the first and last person you will speak to in your day.

Stay at home and follow the recommendations of the authorities! We need to remain in prayer, intercession and fasting! May God bless us and have faith that our Lord is taking care of all things!

Grace and Peace.
