We believe that technology and faith can walk hand in hand. This conviction has driven us since the very first day of the JFA Bible, and over the past few months it has led us to experience one of the most remarkable chapters in our history: we graduated with our new Bible AI app as part of the first global cohort of the Google Play Apps Accelerator 2026.
We want to share with you not only the outcome, but also the behind-the-scenes journey of everything that happened.
The invitation that changed our year
At the end of 2025, Google launched the first edition of the Google Play Apps Accelerator, a pioneering global program that selected only 38 high-potential apps from around the world. Among them, only two were Brazilian, and Bible AI was one of them. We received the news with a mix of joy and gratitude.
12 weeks of the program
During twelve intensive weeks, we immersed ourselves in masterclasses led by leaders in the global tech industry, one-on-one mentoring sessions covering everything from technical scalability to leadership, and exclusive conversations with experts from Google and some of the world’s largest technology companies. Every session helped us think bigger, improve the experience within our app, and dream even higher about what we can still build.
Mountain View: Our case study on the Google Stage
The highlight came in the final stretch of the program. Our founder and CEO, Marcel Rocco, was invited to take the stage at the Showcase Summit, held at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, one day before the official opening of Google I/O 2026. In front of Google executives, investors, and startup founders from around the world, Marcel shared our journey—from the early days of the JFA Bible, which has now surpassed 130 million downloads, to Bible AI, designed to be a 24/7 spiritual companion while remaining faithful to the biblical text.
It was a special opportunity for our organization, our team, and the mission that brings us together.
Representing Brazil at Google I/O 2026
Marcel remained in Silicon Valley throughout Google I/O 2026, representing Mr. Rocco during Google’s flagship developer conference and one of the most important weeks of the year for the technology industry. Being alongside companies from the United States, Japan, South Korea, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom was both a tremendous privilege and a recognition that the Brazilian ecosystem has much to contribute.
He also documented behind-the-scenes moments from the trip in a vlog that generated significant engagement. If you haven’t watched it yet, it’s definitely worth checking out: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DYkLekONhYl/
What this achievement represents
More than a market milestone, this graduation is fuel for what lies ahead. It reinforces our conviction that technology and faith can work together, and it reminds us that every door that opens also brings a responsibility: to continue evolving Bible AI with excellence, care, and purpose.
We remain deeply grateful to God for every opportunity and every door He opens. 🙏
