Stop what you are doing

Stop what you are doing

God has called you to speak of His wonders to others.

Not just to experience the miracle, but also to bring others so they can see and experience everything that God has for those who love and follow Him.

Excellence and delivery

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Colossians 3:23-24

Many times, we become so focused on the technique of what we do that we forget why we are doing it.

Whatever area you serve in, seeking technique and excellence is indeed important, but not at the expense of the essence—the understanding of why you are taking a certain action.

You are there to worship and praise the Lord, to make public what you have experienced in the Father.

The Word of God contains many passages that highlight the importance and necessity of the “Go”. We need to worship Him and share His name with others.

Leave it behind

“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Mark 16:15

In the passage of John 4, we see the story of the Samaritan woman who was drawing water from the well when Jesus arrived and offered her the water of life, the word that satisfies the hunger and thirst of our spirit.

After Jesus finished speaking to her about this water, verse 28 says, “Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people.”

She left everything she was doing, abandoned the jar she was using to draw water, and went back to tell the people everything she had heard from that Jewish man.

No matter what you are doing, when God acts in your life, run to be a witness to that blessing.

Be full and overflow

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.”

Acts 20:24

I’ve mentioned many times here how we are blessed to be a blessing. How God pours out His grace on us, not just for us to experience His wonders, but to share that grace with others.

Sometimes, telling the people around us about God can feel like we’ll have to share His attention, as if there would be less of Him for us if more people seek Him. But that’s not true. The more we walk with God, the more we experience deep moments with Him, and this close relationship makes us want to talk about the Lord even more.

The Lord doesn’t want you to divide to be left with less. He wants you to overflow with everything He has poured out on you.

Leave your jar behind, make space, and run to tell the people around you about God. Introduce the world to the living water!
