Prayer: Overcoming

Prayer: Overcoming

In the previous text, I spoke to you about the feeling of overcoming and renewal that the end of the year brings and how we should learn to use it to improve and grow, to fully trust in God.

Today, I want to pray with you about this moment, about leaving the past behind and focusing on the future with hope for tomorrow.

You don’t need to pray exactly as I will write here. I know that everyone has their own way of talking to the Father, and it is important for each of us to individually seek intimacy with Him. Therefore, feel comfortable to talk to the Lord in your own way. But if you’d like, I’ll be happy to accompany you in this prayer.

Prayer

“Lord, how good it is to be able to trust in You and rest in the truth that You will do infinitely more than I have ever dreamed or asked. Lead me to reach even higher places than I’ve already reached.

Remind me that nothing I’ve lost compares to what lies ahead; nothing matches what I will receive from You. However, I desire to focus on nothing more than Your presence.

I may have the whole world, but what good is it if I don’t have You, Lord? So, Father, teach me to trust in You and to prioritize Your presence above all and before all.

I surrender complete control of my life into Your hands. Teach me to leave behind everything that no longer blesses me, that no longer belongs in my life. I want to make room for the new; help me focus on Your promises, teach me to release what I should have let go of already. I want to learn to overcome both the good and the bad, to draw lessons from the past and treasure the good memories.

God, I want to learn to respect the endings and beginnings of cycles, to approach them with respect and affection.

May in this year-end and new beginning, I can respect and love the processes. Be with me in each of them, blessing me, guiding me. As I walk, may I learn that it is only You that I need in every step I take.

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen!”
