I’m sure you’ve already wondered about your purpose in life, your mission, why you are where you are. I’ve wondered about this myself many times!
After the conversion of my family, when I was 10 years old, I grew up seeing leaders, pastors that I love until today, exhaling their wisdom, teaching and showing the Glory of God through their lives.
I confess that I often wanted to be like most of them. However, I need to discern what the Lord wants for my life in particular. As much as someone’s ministry is amazing and admirable, God may have something totally different for me.
My purpose is not the same as yours
I still remember my first supernatural experience with God. I must have been 11 years old and they decided to play a song during EBD.
I closed my eyes listening to the song and said, “God, I don’t want anything but You. Come live in my heart”. When I realized it, I was sobbing from crying, feeling all the Father’s love enveloping me.
After this experience, I went through a process of a few years until I understood that the purpose of the other is different from mine. I understood that I live for Him and to shine His Glory. And that I was called for a purpose that my Creator assigned me and that’s enough.
It doesn’t matter if where you go you are known because of your parents or your spouse. God knows you by name. He called you, chose you and set you apart, to shine His Glory wherever you go, to be the light and salt of this world.
In the end, even if our purposes are different, we have something in common: we were called to love like Jesus, disciple like Him and bring light to those in need.
May we fulfill what is said in Isaiah 6:
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord asking: Who will I send? Who will go for us? I said: Here I am. Send me.”
Isaiah 6:8
Accept to do what the Lord has called you to do, even if you still don’t know what it is, just say: “Here I am. Send me”.
God bless you,
Ana.
