“In the beginning, the one who is the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God ” (John 1: 1)
I love the times when I begin to reflect on this verse. It is at these times that I see God as inexplicable and of incomparable size and simplicity. God himself calls himself a verb. And through that, it makes it clear that contact with Him is simple and happens naturally when we are ready to listen to Him.
Things get even better when John exposes the Son as God Himself. Saying that first of all, the word of salvation already existed. It freaks me out when I think God has absolutely ready everything for us to enter the Kingdom and live in communion with Him, as He was at the beginning of all things in Eden.
Nonconformity with the church
I have witnessed really sad times for many churches. With society increasingly valuing a culture where the self must be fully satisfied before the next. We see man running after the earthly fullness and the satisfaction of the pleasures of the flesh. Worse still, we see the church being contaminated with this growing culture.
As a result, churches that preach a satisfaction-oriented theology gain strength. Many churches preach more about earthly benefits than about the Word made flesh and delivered for the love of many. This kind of mentality makes us think that the gospel lives outside, in what is external and visible. Which was exactly what the Pharisees did when Jesus walked as a man of flesh and blood. We ignore and neglect the change of the inner self and seek answers in prophecy and great “spiritual moves” rather than hearing the voice of the Creator in His own Word.
Mysticism in the churches
No use denying. We all want to know about things that are going to happen, what we need to do and where we are going. Satan is well aware of this desire and loves to see so many people searching for answers in horoscopes, cheap prognostications and doctrines of demons. The problem is to see that not only unbelieving people have surrendered to it, but also some evangelicals.
This mysticism unfortunately ends up being implanted also within the church. We go to a service just for the sake of prophecy and for a supernatural experience. Without actually hearing the voice of the Father and seeking discernment in Him.
1 Timothy 4:1 The Spirit clearly states that in recent times some will turn away from faith, listening to deceiving spirits and the teachings of demons, (2) who come from hypocritical and lying individuals whose conscience is dead.
The answers are in God Himself
This blinds us and brings a barrier to the understanding that God himself calls himself a living verb and says that all we need is in the words that come out of His mouth. All answers are given through the Bible, which is the manifestation of God Himself and divine inspiration.
2 Timothy 3:13 But the wicked and the impostors will go from bad to worse. They will deceive others and they themselves will be deceived. (14) But you must remain true to what you have been taught. You know that is the truth, for you know those from whom you have learned. (15) From childhood he was taught the Holy Scriptures, which gave him wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by faith in Christ Jesus. (16) All Scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching us what is true and for making us realize what is not in order in our lives. It corrects us when we make mistakes and teaches us to do what is right. (17) God uses it to prepare and empower his people for every good work.
If we discipline ourselves to read the Bible more and focus on the teachings based on pure and simple Christianity, we will in no way be deceived and will surely have the answers necessary for a full life and abundant peace and grace from the Lord, since He is the Lord. Word itself.
The word is living and powerful
These days I was teaching some things to an atheist. Explaining basic fundamentals about Jesus and the message of the cross. Believing in the flow of gifts, I began to pray internally for words of knowledge and wisdom to break any hardness of heart. I felt God say: “My word is enough.” It made me think better about the power and effectiveness of the Bible. Knowing that God Himself is the Word, if we use the Word to manifest power, we enjoy the power of God Himself. when we speak of the Word.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful. It is sharper than any double-edged sword that pierces between soul and spirit, between knuckle and marrow, and brings to light even the most intimate thoughts and desires.
Final teaching
As a final teaching, I tell all the brethren to keep the Word in their hearts. This is the fullness of the Father to his children. May there be full communion between them.
Psalm 119:1 “How happy are the righteous, who follow the law of the Lord! (2) How happy are those who obey His precepts and seek Him with all their hearts.
(4) You have charged us to follow your orders faithfully. (5) My great wish is that my actions always reflect your decrees. (6) Then I will not be ashamed when I meditate on all your commandments.
(8) I will obey your decrees; please don’t give up on me! (9) How can a young man keep himself pure? Obeying your word. (10) I sought you with all my heart; do not allow me to deviate from your commandments. (11) I have kept thy word in my heart, that I should not sin against thee.
(13) I recited aloud all the statutes which thou hast given us. (14) I rejoiced in the way appointed by your precepts, as well as in many riches. (15) I will meditate on thy orders, and reflect upon thy ways. (16) I will delight in your decrees, and will not forget your word. (17) Treat your servant with kindness, that I may live and obey your word. ”
