These days I came across the word “Ambassador” and went to research more about it. In this search I found some Bible verses that pointed to the fact that we are ambassadors through Christ.
But after all, what does that mean?
Authority in speaking
“…For there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God“
Romans 13:1
Ambassador means being a spokesperson for a certain issue, be it a brand, a company, an organization, or the word of God.
To be an ambassador it is not necessary for you to be from the company you will be speaking about, for example. But knowledge on the subject is mandatory, it is essential that you identify with a certain positioning and thinking. An Ambassador is someone who is up to date on the subject and has full authority and knowledge about it, whether an employee of a company or a user of its brand.

Depth breeds authority
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God“
2 Corinthians 5:20
In the passage of 2 Corinthians 5 we are called ambassadors of the word, and it is extremely important that we understand what this is.
As I said earlier, there isn’t an ambassador who doesn’t know the subject he’s talking about. Because it’s not just talk and repeat. It is having total knowledge, to the point of having the same vision and values about that subject.
The Father never called you to just talk and spit on an 80 page sermon. The quantity of what you say does not make you an ambassador, but the quality and depth do. When you have, through a search for knowledge, an authority in a certain area, that’s when you become a spokesperson for it. One word with discernment has more power than a thousand that you throw shallowly.

Have you ever heard of country ambassadors? He is a chief chosen to present his country diplomatically to other countries.
Something very interesting to note is that there is no ambassador from a country who was not born in that nation.
When God calls you to be a spokesperson for His word, in addition to talking about having a depth of knowledge about Him, you are also bringing our identity as children and reaffirming our belonging.
The moment we understand that someone who speaks in the name of that country must, necessarily, have been generated in that place, we understand that what God says in 2 Corinthians is that there is no way to speak of Him without having been generated in Him and without have had access to who He really is.
When we speak knowingly about Christ, when we receive identity through Him, everything that comes out of our mouth expresses who He is. We are ambassadors through Jesus, we have access to who He really is, and through that we discover who we are in Him.
From a relationship with Him we can be the voice of His Word.
